Succession and Workforce Planning in Health Care Nonprofits
You
are being invited to participate in a research study about succession
planning in health care nonprofits. The objective of this research is
to identify trends regarding succession planning and the associated
perceptions of employees in nonprofit health care organizations. This
study is being conducted by Damon Terzaghi, as part of a thesis project
for a Master’s in the Science of Administration. The Faculty advisor is
Dr. Kelley Wood, from the School of Professional Studies at Trinity
Washington University.
There are no known risks if you decide to
participate in this research study. There are no costs to you for
participating in the study. The information you provide will help to
understand how health care organizations are preparing themselves and
their employees for leadership changes, due to the expected retirement
of many organization directors. The questionnaire will take about twenty
minutes to complete. The information collected may not benefit you
directly, but the information learned in this study should provide more
general benefits.
The information gathered by this survey will be
kept confidential. Potentially identifying information will be kept in
a secure location and will not be shared. Since this is an
internet-based survey, we cannot guarantee absolute anonymity; however,
we will not distribute any information that would enable individuals to
identify survey participants or their place of employment. Individuals
from the Institutional Review Board may inspect these records. Should
the data be published, no individual information will be disclosed.
Your
participation in this study is voluntary. By completing and submitting
the online form, you are voluntarily agreeing to participate. You are
free to decline to answer any particular question you do not wish to
answer for any reason.
If you have any questions about the
study, please contact Damon Terzaghi, at (503) 409-4042 or
